Testimonials

Empowering Dreams: Harrison's Journey at Ebenezer Children's Home.

I'm Harrison Otieno, a 16-year-old orphan. For the past 11 years, Ebenezer Children’s Home has been my haven following the tragic loss of both my parents. Alongside my siblings, Sammy and Effie, we've found not just shelter, but also warmth, sustenance, education, healthcare, and love at Ebenezer Life Centre.

My academic success in primary school earned me a full scholarship to the esteemed Starehe Boys' Centre. Now in 11th grade, I'm striving to attain top grades, aiming for an A average to pave the way for my dream career as a software engineer. I owe immense gratitude to Archbishop Mama Winnie Owiti and all our sponsors for their unwavering love and support, which have embraced us as a family.

As I continue on my educational journey, I humbly appeal for ongoing support. My aspiration is to become a positive force in society, uplifting vulnerable children as I have been uplifted. Thank you, and may you be blessed abundantly.

From Struggle To Support: The Ebenezer Journey

My name is Millicent Ainga. In 2019, after the passing of our mother, my siblings and I found ourselves admitted to the Ebenezer Orphanage Home. At the time, I was 10 years old, and my siblings were even younger. While I attended primary school, they were placed in nursery. We were rescued from the slums of Gomongo in Nairobi, where our mother had worked as a casual laborer. There were days when hunger gnawed at us due to the lack of work. With our mother gone, our father struggled to provide for us. Faced with the challenges of earning a living alone in the slums, he sought help.

In 2019, through a church connection, we were taken to Ebenezer. We spent most of our time there due to the scarcity of food and space at home, as well as the need for protection, especially because we were young girls. In 2023, during our holiday visit to Nairobi as required by the government, hunger was a constant companion. We relied on the kindness of well-wishers for food, soap, and basic necessities. Come January 2024, our father couldn’t even afford the bus fare to return us to Ebenezer. Once again, a compassionate Samaritan stepped in to help.

On behalf of my siblings, I express our heartfelt gratitude to the director and all the sponsors of Ebenezer Life Center.

Transforming Lives: A Journey of Hope at Ebenezer Children’s Home

I joined Ebenezer Children’s Home in 2011 when I was
in grade 6. Ebenezer has been my home for the last 13
years. I have completed my primary, secondary and
college education, where I have graduated with a diploma
in Survey. I am grateful to the Director, Archbishop
Winnie and all our sponsors who have faithfully
supported me and my two siblings- Harrison and Sammy.
Currently, I am volunteering my services at the
orphanage. It is my prayer that the vulnerable children at
Ebenezer Children’s Home continue to receive
Food/Love/Education, through well wisher’s support
